To make the journey more comfortable for passengers, the railway department has taken steps to improve the train service. From June 1, Maharashtra Express will run in its new form, offering a more enjoyable experience for passengers. The Central Railway has made an important decision, keeping passenger comfort and safety in mind. As part of this, old racks in the trains are being converted into modern Link Hoffman Busch (LHB) coaches. Under this, the Maharashtra Express departing from Gondia will also have one LHB coach. The train will now include 1 second AC coach, 4 third AC coaches, 7 sleeper coaches, 4 general second-class coaches, 1 general second-class coach, and 1 generator car. This change will provide passengers with a more comfortable, safe, and convenient travel experience than before. The Kolhapur-Gondia Express will start running with the LHB coaches and new structure from June 1, 2025, from Kolhapur railway station, and the Gondia-Kolhapur Express will operate with LHB coaches and new structure from June 3, 2025, from Gondia railway station. Special Facilities for MST Holders Considering the changes made in the sleeper coaches of the Gondia-Kolhapur Maharashtra Express for the convenience of passengers, the competent authority has made provisions for monthly pass holders and half-yearly pass holders. From June 3, these passengers can travel in three special sleeper coaches, S5, S6, and S7, for their convenience. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of SPC Nagpur Division, Dilip Singh, provided this information to ensure that monthly and half-yearly pass holders do not face any inconvenience while traveling.
