CNG Cylinder Trailer Overturns on Gondia–Kohamara Highway
A serious accident was narrowly avoided on Saturday, January 3, at around 4:00 PM when a trailer carrying CNG cylinders overturned on the Gondia–Kohamara national highway. The incident took place near the Waghdev Temple area in the Murdoili forest stretch.
Gas Leakage Reported from One Cylinder
Following the accident, one of the CNG cylinders loaded on the trailer developed a gas leak. The leakage caused temporary panic among motorists and local commuters passing through the area.
Trailer Was En Route to Nagpur
According to preliminary information, the trailer bearing registration number MH 27 DT 1700 was transporting empty CNG cylinders after unloading them in Gondia. The vehicle was traveling towards Nagpur via the Kohamara route when the driver reportedly lost control.
Driver Suffers Minor Injuries, Traffic Disrupted
The driver sustained minor injuries in the incident. As the trailer overturned in the middle of the road, traffic on the Gondia–Kohamara highway was temporarily disrupted, causing inconvenience to several vehicle owners.
