Bhandara:As per the central government’s directive, it is mandatory to install High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP) for all vehicles registered before 2019. However, at an authorized center in Bhandara, this process has become unnecessarily troublesome for vehicle owners. Due to staff shortages, inadequate facilities, and lack of cooperation, vehicle owners are facing significant inconvenience. Interestingly, while the deadline for this process is set until June 30, appointment slots are only available for July. Despite booking online appointments, vehicle owners are forced to wait for hours at the center. Even after arriving at the scheduled time, they have to wait a long time before the process starts. Due to the shortage of staff, the procedure moves at a very slow pace, resulting in a wasted half to a full day for vehicle owners. Many vehicle owners have expressed dissatisfaction over this issue, but no concrete action has been taken yet.
The RTO office has assured that complaints will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken — Deputy Regional Transport Officer, Bhandara
Will there be improvements in the HSRP installation process? Will the lack of staff and inadequate arrangements be resolved? Or will vehicle owners have to continue facing this inconvenience? It is crucial for the administration and the transport department to take immediate action on this matter.
